The Astor Trio

Violin, guitar and double bass meet in the Astor Trio. The formation is based on a long collaboration of Tobias Kassung, the Artistic Director of the Cologne Classical Ensemble and the other members of the ensemble: the violinist and leader of the Dortmunder Philharmoniker Alexander Prushinskiy and the principal bass player of the WDR-Sinfonieorchester Stanislav Anischenko.

Duo Kravets-Kassung

Since 2011 cellist Lena Kravets and guitarist Tobias Kassung devote themselves to the wonderful combination of cello and guitar. This rare combination lives of high cantabile possibilities of the cello and the subtle accompaniment on the guitar.

The Arisva Quartet

The Arisva quartet is the permanent quartet of Cologne Classical Ensemble. It was established under the musical leader and first violinist Alexander Prushinskiy together with Svetlana Shtraub as 2nd violinist, altist Aliaksandr Senazhenski and cellist Risto Rajakorpi.

Private concerts

Chamber music - this used to be the music in city houses of the bourgeoisie. A private concert with one of the small chamber ensembles of the Cologne Classical Ensemble this wonderful tradition revives. Experience classical music really close and get in contact with the artists.

Company events

With its variety of different formations the Cologne Classical Ensemble has often been a favourite guest at big events of leading German companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Postbank or Lanxess. Concerts with the Cologne Classical Ensemble at diners of the executive board, anniversaries, press conferences or presentations are unforgettable classical concert experiences that make these events something special.

Guitar Quintet, Piano Quintet, Piano Trio & Four Cellists

Together with guitarist Tobias Kassung the Arisva Quartet is especially dedicated to the guitar quintets by Luigi Boccherini and Manuel Castelnuovo-Tedesco and concerti by Antonio Vivaldi and Mauro Giuliani. Also in focus are premieres of contemporary composers. With pianist Tatiana Prushinskaya the musicians make high-profile programmes for Piano Trio and Piano Quintet.

Duo Kassung & Marziali

Italian guitarist Luciano Marziali and German guitarist Tobias Kassung form this guitar duo. Their current programme "Il Cinema" focuses on great cinema compsitions especially by the great Italian composers. includes e. g. works by J. S. Bach, Fernando Sor, Franz Schubert and Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
