Kassung-Marziali: Il Cinema (2019)
With their album IL CINEMA, Tobias Kassung & Luciano Marziali portray one of the most exciting epochs of Italian music: names like Nino Rota or Ennio Morricone stand for unique cinema music that is masterfully arranged and staged by Kassung & Marziali. The two use all the possibilities of the guitar duo and conjure up their own orchestra with innumerable sound effects. They combine this music impressively with early Renaissance music by John Dowland and Kassung's own large suite “Il Cinema”, composed especially for this program.
Since the founding of their guitar duo, the focus has been on film music by famous Italian composers. With the present album IL CINEMA, years of intensive engagement with this music comes to a climax. It provides undreamt-of insights into the lines of development of this music genre and is at the same time artistically highly demanding and wonderfully entertaining. This album is available from all popular online providers as streaming or download.

Lieder, Songs & Canciones (2017)
The duo program cello & guitar - an enchanting combination, played by two exceptional artists. Here Lena Kravets & Tobias Kendung let their instruments sing. Classical, jazz & flamenco merge and cast a spell over the audience.
Kravets & Kassung combine classical songs by Brahms and Schubert, jazz songs by George Gershwin and Ella Fitzgerald, Spanish canciones by Manuel de Falla, Russian romances by Michail Glinka and tango ballads by Astor Piazzolla. With breathtaking musicality and perfection, they cast a spell over the audience. You can tell from the first note how Kravets & Kendung love this music and put their whole heart and soul into every note. An impressive experience from great musicians! Gershwin & de Falla (2015)
George Gershwin meets Manuel de Falla. You can hear classical chamber music at its finest, completely dusted and with a groove and a spontaneity that you would otherwise find in jazz realms. With his music from Porgy & Bess or the Three Preludes, George Gershwin linked jazz traditions with classical music like no other American composer. Manuel de Falla is similar: at the same time in Spain, the great national composer wrote his masterpieces in which the highest virtuosity, impressionistic richness of sound and the flamenco traditions of his country join hands. Music that is tailored to the Astor Trio and that the three interpret congenially. The album is available as a streaming or download from all common online providers.

Bach & Piazzolla (2012)
On their CD "Bach & Piazzolla" the Astor Trio combines Piazzolla's music with two sonatas by the great old master Johann Sebastian Bach. Baroque meets tango - this could be the headline at first glance. But there is more behind the extraordinary combination of the three musicians: The sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach are staged by the Astor Trio in a modern yet impressively authentic way, revealing their true character as dance-like, virtuoso and always beautifully melancholy pieces. Precisely these attributes can also be ascribed to the compositions by Piazzolla, which with the Astor Trio take their deserved place as artistic chamber music full of emotion and beauty of sound. The album is available from all common online providers as a streaming or download.
