The Kulturkirche Eifel regularly hosts fantastic concerts in the Schleiden region. Lena Kravets and Tobias Kassung will be performing at the Protestant Church in Hellenthal with their programme ‘Nachtstücke – zwischen Tango und Traum’ (Night Pieces – Between Tango and Dream).
Romantic nocturnes and adagios by Burgmüller, Glinka and Beethoven perfectly express the intimate sound of the cello and guitar. With Kassung's own new piece and Raffaele Bellafrente's brilliant tango, the duo brings to life not only the contemplative side of the ‘night pieces’ but also the exuberant nightlife. And everything culminates in the ‘Quatre rêves’ by Parisian composer Mathias Duplessy, who has set the exuberant nightlife of the French metropolis to rousing music in his four musical dreams.
Admission to the concert is free, but a reasonable donation is requested. We would like to use this to support the reconstruction work on the Kulturkirche in Gemünd. The church was severely damaged in the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley, and reconstruction and renovation work is still ongoing, with a great deal of dedication and voluntary commitment.
