‘Bach's Baroque meets jazz’ – The Italian master guitarist continues to find new and surprising connections for his programmes, entertaining his audience with his great guitar artistry and his immense background knowledge. In Engelskirchen, the programme is complemented by works for organ.
In Engelskirchen, Luciano Marziali will combine Renaissance and early Baroque music by Leonardo Da Vinci, Vincenzo Galilei and Gaspar Sanz with jazz icons. His artful arrangements of jazz classics by Bill Evans and Chick Corea, as well as Lennox Berkley's Sonatina, show – in combination with early music – how much these two musical genres have in common, even though they are separated by more than 300 years. Two chorales by Johann Sebastian Bach will also be performed, together with the organist of the Kulturkirche Oberberg.
