Programme 2025

We look forward to continuing kammerkonzerte.koeln at the Humboldt-Saal in 2025. Due to the uncertain financial and space situation, we can currently only plan the first half of the year. We hope to be able to present the full annual programme shortly.

KÖLN: Kölner Klassik Ensemble

Tickets
Humboldt-Saal, Kammermusiksaal im Humboldtgymnasium, Kartäuserwall 40, 50676 Köln

With their programme “Mediterranean Summer Night”, the seven-member line-up of the Cologne Classical Ensemble will perform a special family concert at the Humboldt-Saal in Cologne. Baroque, classical and romantic solo concertos by Vivaldi, Boccherini, Rodrigo and Tchaikovsky are combined with virtuoso Spanish music by Pablo de Sarasate and the artful tango works of Astor Piazzolla.

The soloists Alexander Prushinskiy (violin), Lena Kravets (violoncello) and Tobias Kassung (guitar) put their instruments in the spotlight in an atmospheric and highly virtuosic way. A delight for connoisseurs and at the same time a real experience for all those who perhaps rarely attend a classical concert and want to introduce their children to the captivating world of classical music for the first time.  In 2003, eight students at the Cologne University of Music founded the Kölner Klassik Ensemble. Today - 20 years later - this ensemble has developed into one of the leading collectives for classical chamber music in NRW. The young Cologne Classical Ensemble's own arrangements of Astor Piazzolla's “Las Estaciones Porteñas” were a great success and the CD released by Sony has become known worldwide. In addition to the original eight-piece chamber ensemble, other outstanding formations of the chamber music scene have formed within the Kölner Klassik Ensemble: the Astor Trio, the Duo Kravets & Kassung, the Arisva String Quartet and the 8CELLI.
Numerous concerts in Germany and abroad as well as the extensive recordings for Sony Classical and KSG Exaudio are proof of the ensemble's exceptional quality and are regularly praised by audiences and critics alike. The Kölner Klassik Ensemble has hosted kammerkonzerte.koeln since 2020. The series is dedicated to classical chamber music in all its diversity and presents outstanding guest ensembles from Cologne and North Rhine-Westphalia alongside the various line-ups of the Kölner Klassik Ensemble.

Admission to this concert is free for children and young people up to and including the age of 14. However, please register at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. due to limited seating capacity.
