The wonderful festival "Musik in den Häusern der Stadt Köln" will take place again in November 2024 and Lena Kravets and Tobias Kassung will present their programme "La lumière du sud - the light of the south" at the Galerie Galerie Van der Grinten in Cologne.
The programme "La lumière du sud - the light of the south" is primarily dedicated to the masters of French music. The vastness of the French coast, the high, blue sky and the special light have always inspired French artists to create special works of art. In music, too, lightness merges with southern flair and the French way of life. Great impressionists such as Claude Debussy and Gabriel Fauré meet the baroque master Marin Marais and the contemporary Parisian composer Mathias Duplessy, who marvellously combines French lightness with flamenco and Brazilian bossa nova. The programme is rounded off by the piece "Capriccio à la lumière du sud", written by Tobias Kassung himself - a homage to the tango and the light of the south.
