One year after the terrible Russian war of aggression on Ukraine, we continue to support young Ukrainian musicians. Our second benefit concert with Aleksey Semenenko and Inna Firsova on March 18, 2023 again raised a fantastic sum of over 8,400 euros.
Almost exactly one year ago, Aleksey Semenenko and Inna Firsova played a private benefit concert at the home of our Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, Christiane von Velsen, which raised the fantastic sepndensummer of 15,240 euros. With this we were able to support several young Ukrainian artists over several months.
Now there was a sequel on March 18, 2023. Again there was a full house and again Aleksey Semenenko and Inna Firsova played a deeply impressive, fantastic concert. We are so grateful and happy that the willingness to help continues to be great and the audience again donated abundantly for our Ukraine aid. A total of more than 8400,- Euro was raised once again. Many thanks to all who donated so generously!
With this we can now continue our financial support for young Ukrainian musicians. This time it is our great concern that we support some young violin students from Kherson. As we know, this city had been conquered by the Russian war troops. After the liberation by Ukraine, terrible crimes came to light here as well. Among others, the 46-year-old chief conductor of the Kherson municipal orchestra Yuriy Leonidovych Kerpatenko was murdered by Russian troops.
Kherson continues to be regularly shelled by Russian missiles, and normal life is unthinkable in this city. Several young music students from the city have now found refuge in Kiev. They are coping with their everyday life under very difficult conditions. We want to help them directly with financial support so that they can continue their violin lessons and hopefully make music resound in Kherson again in the future.
You can continue to support us with this help and make donations to our account under the key word "Ukraine-Hilfe":
